Outfits for an Art Gallery

One of my favorite things in the world to do is going to art galleries, and during the past few weeks I've been lucky enough to have taken several trips to some of the art galleries in London. I thought I would take this opportunity to showcase some of the outfits I wore to them. I wanted the outfits to have a tone of elegance and maturity to pay homage to the works of art, but still have a very feminine and young look to them. I also discovered something on one of the trips I took. As I was strolling through the works of Claude Monet in The National Gallery, it dawned upon me that some of his works of art were very similar to clothing I own! His choice of colors and beautifully crafted floral scenery reminded me of prints that I either own, or would not hesitate to buy if the prints were transferred onto a dress in a window of some department store. The painting were absolutely gorgeous and that was when I realized that these works of art were actually inspirations to me. Up until then I never connected the correlation between artwork and fashion. It opened my eyes to how the two can be connected and inspired by each other, and I think that is truly wonderful. In the future I would love to do a Monet or Van Gogh-inspired outfit series when I collect more pieces, so hopefully look forward to that! In the meantime, here are the outfits I wore during my excursions!
